Important Parts to Replace This Summer at Your Calgary, AB Dealer

As your Okotoks Nissan dealership, we care a whole lot about the quality of the vehicle that you drive. We also know that most people assume summer is the safest time to drive in Canada since there’s no ice and snow, and while that may be true, it doesn’t mean drivers can ignore their vehicles’ needs in the warmer months. In fact, there are a few automotive parts that need special attention from our service department this time year, including the following:

  • Your battery – The heat can suck the juice out of a battery, which is why it’s a good idea to have yours checked this time year. Newer ones stand up to the heat a little better, and older ones will go bad more quickly.
  • Your engine coolant – Obviously it’s more important to keep your engine cool in the summertime, so keeping your coolant topped off and clear is doubly important in July!
  • Your windshield wipers – If the ice and snow have completely destroyed the quality of your windshield wipers, just let us know. They’re inexpensive to replace and can make a big difference in visibility during a summer rainstorm.
  • Your belts and hoses – These can crack or get damaged in really hot weather, and since they’re integral to connecting various parts in your engine, having any of them not working properly could cause big problems, especially on longer road trips.

Taking all of this into consideration, it would be wise for you to take your Nissan Rogue or Nissan Sentra to the service department here at Okotoks Nissan so we can take care of any or all of this for you. Your car will thank you for it, especially in the summer heat!
